National Day, Singapore

With National Day having just passed, here’s a blast from the further past – 1970, when the Herald gave a show of chutzpah by defying the spirit of government orders not to cover the National Day Parade (NDP) rehearsals (back then they thought it would detract from the surprise factor on parade day itself), even if they followed the letter of the law.
